Find Local Wells (Or Leave A Report)

Option 1: Find Well By API Number

Enter a well's API number below (ie. '42-087-30228') and click 'Show Well' to go directly to a well page. If it asks you to create the page then we don't track the well yet. Email us the API number and we'll get it listed!

Option 2: Find Well By Location

Enter an address, a local intersection, a zipcode, or similar information (ie. 'Fort Worth TX' or 'Bradford County PA') in the box below and click 'search' to locate wells in your area on the map. Click on a red dot to show the API number, which uniquely identifies that well. Click on that API number to go to the informational page about that well. You can click and drag the map to move the view.

General Overview

Is your local well leaking? Is it non-compliant? Was your topsoil not replaced? If so, enter the information as a complaint about a facility. Or do you think a particular well or employee deserves special recognition? Do you have a tip or a bit of history that you would like to add to the record? Then please leave a note on WellWatch.

To find information on WellWatch: Type your address into the search box above. If you live in one of the states we are currently covering, you'll see a map with red dots representing the facilities in your area. Clicking on any of these facilities will take you to a page dedicated to that facility. Each page includes official state data as well as information in the form of notes and complaints collectively added by the community.

To add information on WellWatch: First, please create a user name and password. To make reports and complaints about facilities (wells, compressors, pits) on each of their individual pages, follow the steps above to find an individual well's page. If you have information to add, click either "note" or "complaint" on the well page. If you have trouble, you may fill out our paper complaint form and mail it in.

You can also update the page for your county ( example ) or state, add contact information for relevant agencies, and other useful information. If you are part of a landowner's organization, you can create a page about the organization so that other landowners can easily find you.
